Devlog #9: Scope Shift & New Direction
Samnite Supply Lines has officially shifted to a smaller, more focused MVP.
Originally, this project aimed to be a full Roman logistics tycoon — farms, workshops, production chains, settlement growth, the whole economic engine. That vision is still alive, but it’s now part of a longer journey rather than the starting point.
The first release will instead be a tight, turn‑based logistics puzzle set during the Third Samnite War. Your goal is simple: find Rome, build farms, and deliver wheat before it spoils.
This smaller scope lets me:
- finish a polished game sooner
- build a solid technical foundation
- start the Latent Hegemony series with something manageable and fun
Future games will expand into deeper logistics, city‑building, and eventually grand strategy — but one step at a time.
If you want the full breakdown of why the scope changed and where the project is headed, I’ve written a detailed devlog here:
Samnite Supply Lines — A Latent Hegemony™ Project
Expand your empire of farms and meet the growing demands of Rome in a time of war.
